Nikon SLR Lenses

So I’ve got a Nikon D3000 with a Nikkor 18-55 lens right now, but I need a lens with high zoom.
Anyone know any, at a reasonable price?

I found a lens that I want to buy for my nikon d60 but its an AF lens. I read somewhere and it said that they are only work with the AF-S lens because they cant focus. But you can always turn it to manual and focus it yourself. Does that mean that I can always buy the lens and do it myself or will the lens simply just not work at all?

i have a nikon D80 with a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens and a 70-300mm VR lens. i am pickin up a nikon fe2 34mm film camera on thursday. will my new modern lenses work on the fe2? and also will a old lens from the af2 work on my D80?

I was wondering if there is like a third party company that makes lens’ for nikon camera’s (I have a D60) if so could you help me find a lens with around 10 to 15 mm lens. Any help is greatly appreciated.

what kind of adhesive should i use?

I have the Nikon D60 kit. I only have the 18-55 VR lens. What should I buy next?
p.s. something that’s not as expensive as that 18-200 VR AF-S lens.

I have nikon d80 and wish to buy a lens.
should i go for the 18-200mm which everyone talks about or 18-135mm. the price is a big difference, but besides that i dont really know which is best? thanks for u help.

The wide angle lens came with the camera, but I’m getting a zoom lens for christmas. I don’t know how many are out there or which one I’m getting, but I’m wondering just in gernal.. the standard zoom lens compared to the wide angle. Is the focuss much different? the quality?

I’m not ready to buy a digital SLR yet. But if I buy a good lens for this camera, will I be able to use it on a digital if I change my mind?
Also, I don’t know how to choose a new lens for this camera. I’d be taking photos of people (facial shots) and street scenes. What kind of lens should I consider?

nikkon suggests not using a dx lens to a film slr but what happens anyway if i do?
