Do i need the auto focus lens if my nikon d80 already has it?

    I suspect what you are asking is whether the lens must have a motor for the D80 to autofocus? The answer is no. There are a set of Nikon lenses that will autofocus with the D80 even though there is no motor in the lens, for example the 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. You can look up the compatibility chart in the urls provided above by fhotoace.

    Auto-focus cameras use auto-focus lenses. They are a team, no matter what brand you have.
    Yes, you can use manual focusing lenses on your camera, but of course you will have to manually focus them.
