Nikon & Canon has 52mm close up lens, I was wondering if there’s a way I can use a close up lens with my 55mm. I’m trying to save some money, instead of buying a macro lens.

We’re looking at buying this, and I’d like to know how far of a distance the lens it comes with (18-55mm lens) is good for in terms of zoom and focus. Can’t find anything online! If you could give me the “dummied down” version, I’d appreciate it! Will be using mainly to do nature photography, some landscapes, etc. But would like the abililty to shoot distances of a few acres (2 or 3) reasonably close and in focus.
