Nikon & Canon has 52mm close up lens, I was wondering if there’s a way I can use a close up lens with my 55mm. I’m trying to save some money, instead of buying a macro lens.

I just bought the Nikon D60 but won’t be getting it until my birthday. I am buying a flower hood over the net but I don’t know if I need the 52mm or the 55mm

I need to get front lens caps for some of my Sony A200 lenses and was wondering if the cheaper Canon/Nikon front lens caps would fit it.
Minolta/Sony caps are more expensive because less people use them.
