Nikon 35mm f/2D AF Wide-Angle Nikkor Lens for Nikon 35mm and Digital SLR Cameras Nikon 35mm f/2D AF Wide-Angle Nikkor Lens for Nikon 35mm and Digital SLR Cameras 35mm D-Series Wideangle lens for Nikon cameras
Customer Review: Very Good Lens
I spent 30 years as a pro shooter, using Nikons. Since I retired, I only use my cameras to photograph my child. My F3s and fast AI lenses are stored away, and I now use a D70s and a new D300. I found the zooms a bit soft, bought a 60mm D lens, loved it, and got the 35 f2D. Very sharp, fast enough (my AI was a 1.4 but that was a working lens, this one is for fun) for my current needs, good color, good edges, seems to do the job for a reasonable amount of money.
Customer Review: Sharp, moderate-contrast lens, but DX users might wait for 35mm f/1.8 AF-S
I really wanted to love this lens, but instead I just like it. Perhaps I can explain some of the reasons for that in a moment, but first the positives.

Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens with Built In Motor for Nikon Digital SLR Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens with Built In Motor for Nikon Digital SLR Tamron now offers a lightweight, compact, high-image-quality telephoto zoom lens with macro capability of 1: 2 that can be used with digital cameras. This new lens is a Di type lens using an optical system with improved multi-coating designed to function with digital SLR cameras as well as film cameras. With this 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens, flipping a macro switch in the focal length range of 180mm to 300mm obtains a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2 at a minimum focus distance as short as 37.4″, enabling close-up shots of flowers, insects, and other objects that normally require the use of a specially designed macro lens. Moreover, this is a zoom lens that casually offers the distant capture and foreshortening effect pleasures of the 300mm ultra-telephoto world.
Customer Review: For the price, this is a 5-star lens!!!
From 70-200mm, my sample of the Tamron 70-300mm Di zoom lens is markedly sharper than a Nikon 55-200mm VR lens that I owned and then sold, based on comparisons done with a 10 MP Nikon D60 DSLR camera. Indeed, from 70-200mm, the Tamron lens is quite sharp, period. It’s clearly softer at 300mm, based on images viewed at 100% magnification on a 24″ computer monitor, but when viewed at 50% magnification (closer to relative default print size), 300mm images look fantastic. More importantly, at 300mm it produces images that print with excellent resolution at 11×16″.

Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900 Large + Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System + Accessory Kit for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony Digital SLR Cameras Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900 Large + Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System + Accessory Kit for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony Digital SLR Cameras Kit includes: 1) Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900; 2) Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System; 3) Deluxe 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit; 4) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth. The Giottos Rocket-Air Blower is very powerful and easy to use cleaning system. The super air stream blows off dust particles, even those attracted by static electricity. Giottos’ patented and unique rocket base design allows the Rocket-Air to stand by itself and prevents accidental blocking of the inlet valve as well as making it easy to store. The inlet valve prevents back flow from the air tube. This air blower is an excellent way to remove dust off sensitive equipment parts without physical contact. It works great when used on digital camera sensors, lenses, telescopes, computer keyboards, microscopes, communications equipment, musical instruments or just about any precision equipment. Keeping your lenses and LCD spotless is crucial to high-quality photography. After all, just the slightest imperfection — such as dust, fingerprints or water stains — can mean the difference between a stunning portrait and an unsalvageable mistake. Unfortunately, microfiber cloths can often leave dust behind, and compressed air won’t clean fingerprints or other stains. The answer is the LensPen! Deluxe 5-Piece Cleaning Kit includes: Lens Cleaning Tissue; Lens Cloth; Lens Cleaning Liquid; Blower Brush; Cotton Swabs.
Customer Review: good product
The rocket blower is what I bought the kit for and it performs as expected. The lens pen and microfiber cloth were more of a bonus. Why get just the rocket blower when you can get it and a few other items for cheaper?

Customer Review: I’m a prime kind of girl…
In my bag of camera tricks, I have 3 prime lenses, and this lens is by far on my camera the most.
I shoot with a Nikon D80, and this lens compliments my camera very well. The macro is amazing, and ultra sharp; but I also love what it can do for portraits. I recently did some family portraits with this lens, and they turned out beautifully!
It might be pricey, but it is so worth it. I promise you wont be disappointed!
Customer Review: Great macro for the price
I am a beginner to DSLR and wanted to play with macro photography, and am really pleased with the results of this lens–crisp, light-weight, economic, and reliable. I manual focus on such intricate shots as reflections on water drops and have never been disappointed with the results. I would recommend this lens for beginners or intermediate hobbyists.

Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX Fisheye Nikkor Lens Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX Fisheye Nikkor Lens The NIKON 2148 10.5MM f/2.8 G IF-ED Fisheye Lens was designed exclusively for NIKON digital SLR cameras that feature NIKON’s DX Format Sensor. Along with 17-55mm and 12-24mm DX offerings, the 10.5MM lens offers the broadest wide angle coverage available for digital SLR cameras, significantly enhancing lens performance by optimizing them for digital cameras. Compatible with all D-series digital SLR cameras, including the D1, D1X, D1H, D100 and D2H
Customer Review: Great lens but…
I bought a Tokina 10-17 mm and started shooting with it. I liked it but I felt it was not sharp enough and I heard about the colour aberrations.
Therefore I went to bring it back to B&H and I upgraded with the Nikkor 10.5
This is absolutetly more sharp and fast. The only two things that I found bad are:
1) the lens is much more difficult to keep clean than the Tokina’s one;
2) why the hell Nikon decided to produce expensive lenses like the Wideangle 12-24 mm and this Fisheye in crappy plastic?! For keeping down their weight? Fck the weight issue and give me some old time, long lasting great metal body lenses!!!!
Customer Review: Lovin’ my fish-eye (wide-angle lens)
I am thrilled that I received my fish eye lens in time for our cruise through the Caribbean last week. I love it! It is of excellent quality. I only wish it could do some zooming, but that contradicts the wide-angle bit, I suppose. I shot beautiful island/ocean scenes; great, wide sunsets; captured full rooms of people; captured the length of the ship. And if you crop the top and bottom, you get a great landscape photo (wide but not tall). I highly recommend this to photography enthusiasts.

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras Designed for Nikon digital SLR cameras, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 prime lens is ideal for a wide range of applications, from landscape photography to portraiture. The lens offers an extra-large aperture that guarantees superior peripheral brightness, helping create sharp images with high contrast even at the edges. The molded glass aspherical lens, meanwhile, perfectly corrects for coma aberration to ensure that images look sharp and crisp against a nicely blurred background. And thanks to the integrated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), the lens enjoys a silent, high-speed autofocus system. Other features include a super multilayer lens coating that reduces flare and ghosting, a minimum focusing distance of 17.7 inches, and a maximum magnification of 1:7.4. As with all Sigma lenses, this 50mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

Specifications

  • Focal length: 50mm
  • Maximum aperture: f/1.4
  • Lens construction: 8 elements in 6 groups
  • Angle of view: 46.8 degrees
  • Number of diaphragm blades: 9
  • Minimum aperture: f/16
  • Minimum focusing distance: 17.7 inches
  • Maximum magnification: 1:7.4
  • Filter size: 77mm
  • Corresponding AF mounts: Nikon
  • Dimensions: 3.3 inches in diameter and 2.7 inches long
  • Weight: 17.8 ounces
  • Warranty: 1 year

Customer Review: Great quality - liked better than the Canon
I purchased both of the lenses and took pictures to compare the two side by side — I liked the looks of the Sigma lens better.
Customer Review: backfocus problem
I received the lens and returned it the next day, because it has a very serious backfocus problem. Sigma really needs to solve this problem. We had a high hope on this lens, however, the experience is disappointing.

Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC HSM Macro Lens for Nikon DSLR Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC HSM Macro Lens for Nikon DSLR Sigma’s 17-70mm DC macro lens is an ideal large-aperture standard zoom lens for Nikon digital SLR cameras with APS-C size image sensors, making it suitable for a wide variety of subjects. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 7.9 inches throughout the entire zoom range, along with a maximum magnification of 1:2.3 for close-up macro photography. The new lens design and multilayer lens coating, meanwhile, reduce flare and ghosting–a common problem with many digital cameras. Add in a Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass element and two aspherical lens elements and you have a lens that can correct all types of aberrations while producing a high level of optical performance at every interval.

The lens also offers a large aperture of F2.8 at the 17mm wide-angle setting, yet is notably compact, with an overall length of 3.2 inches and a diameter of 3.1 inches. Plus, it performs superbly even in relatively low-light conditions, such as indoors or at dusk. Users will also appreciate the inner focusing system, which provides a fast autofocus speed while preventing the front of the lens from rotating, making it particularly suitable for use with circular polarizing filters and petal-shaped lens hoods. Also equipped with a zoom lock switch that eliminates “zoom creep” during transport, the lens weighs 16 ounces and carries a one-year warranty.
Customer Review: To return, or not to return? In any case, not yet thrilled.
Hopefully after working a bit more with this lens, I will come back here and update this review in a positive light. But for now, having just got the lens and taking only a handful of pictures, I am hesitant. I am almost disappointed, only not quite sure yet.

Customer Review: nikon d60 outfit
After using a point and shoot camera for years I decided it was time for an upgrade and thats why I bought the Nikon d60. Its a great slr camera for the money. Light weight and very easy to use . Takes really nice pictures. The only thing one should consider is a choice when it come to a lens and that depends what you are going to use the camera for. The 18-55mm comes with the camera I recommend the 70-300mm if you need the extra zoom for sporting events. Theres alot you can do with this camera and once again great for the money.
