I know that if I don’t get an af-s lens I will not have auto focus. I am not concerned with auto focus for a macro lens.
I would like to be able to take the pictures where you can see all of the lenses on a fly’s eyes, or the hairs on a spider. I would love to have a 105mm f/2.8 G ED-IF AF-S VR Macro Nikon lens, but I cannot afford the $780.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a super quality older non af-s lens?
