Nikon 35mm f/2D AF Wide-Angle Nikkor Lens for Nikon 35mm and Digital SLR Cameras 35mm D-Series Wideangle lens for Nikon cameras Customer Review: Very Good Lens I spent 30 years as a pro shooter, using Nikons. Since I retired, I only use my cameras to photograph my child. My F3s and fast AI lenses are stored away, and I now use a D70s and a new D300. I found the zooms a bit soft, bought a 60mm D lens, loved it, and got the 35 f2D. Very sharp, fast enough (my AI was a 1.4 but that was a working lens, this one is for fun) for my current needs, good color, good edges, seems to do the job for a reasonable amount of money. Customer Review: Sharp, moderate-contrast lens, but DX users might wait for 35mm f/1.8 AF-S I really wanted to love this lens, but instead I just like it. Perhaps I can explain some of the reasons for that in a moment, but first the positives.

Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens with Built In Motor for Nikon Digital SLR Tamron now offers a lightweight, compact, high-image-quality telephoto zoom lens with macro capability of 1: 2 that can be used with digital cameras. This new lens is a Di type lens using an optical system with improved multi-coating designed to function with digital SLR cameras as well as film cameras. With this 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens, flipping a macro switch in the focal length range of 180mm to 300mm obtains a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2 at a minimum focus distance as short as 37.4″, enabling close-up shots of flowers, insects, and other objects that normally require the use of a specially designed macro lens. Moreover, this is a zoom lens that casually offers the distant capture and foreshortening effect pleasures of the 300mm ultra-telephoto world. Customer Review: For the price, this is a 5-star lens!!! From 70-200mm, my sample of the Tamron 70-300mm Di zoom lens is markedly sharper than a Nikon 55-200mm VR lens that I owned and then sold, based on comparisons done with a 10 MP Nikon D60 DSLR camera. Indeed, from 70-200mm, the Tamron lens is quite sharp, period. It’s clearly softer at 300mm, based on images viewed at 100% magnification on a 24″ computer monitor, but when viewed at 50% magnification (closer to relative default print size), 300mm images look fantastic. More importantly, at 300mm it produces images that print with excellent resolution at 11×16″.

Nikon D700 12.1MP Digital SLR Camera with 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED IF VR Nikkor Zoom Lens Building on the immense success of the Nikon D3 professional D-SLR camera, the D700 offers pro-level performance and an extensive array of features and innovations in a comfortably nimble platform. Nikon’s flagship FX and DX-format cameras, the D3 and D300 respectively, established new benchmarks for digital image quality, speed, and unmatched ISO performance. The D700 maintains this new measure with exceptional overall image quality, broad tonal range and depth, and extremely low noise throughout its native ISO range of 200 to 6400. The Nikon D700 is a fusion of astonishing image quality and agility. Leveraging the breakthrough performance of Nikon’s original 12.1-Megapixel FX-Format (23.9×36mm) CMOS sensor, teamed with exclusive Nikon EXPEED image processing technology, the D700 delivers astounding image fidelity with incredible sharpness, rich color depth and broad tonal range. Shooting limitations fade with the welcome picture angle characteristics of a 35mm SLR, combined with amazing low-noise performance at up to ISO 6400 and continuous shooting as fast as 5 frames per second. Nikon’s exclusive Scene Recognition System boosts several segments of the D700’s performance, including its fast, accurate 51-area autofocus system. The D700’s tempered-glass-protected, 3″ VGA TFT LCD monitor features bright, 170-degree wide-angle viewing for precise image review. With a rugged self-diagnostic shutter, tested to 150,000 cycles, the versatility of two Live View modes and integrated dust reduction, the D700 is agility meets quality. Two Live View shooting modes Rugged magnesium-alloy construction Fast, accurate 51-point AF with 3D Focus Tracking Dynamic integrated dust reduction system 3D Color Matrix Metering II Exclusive Scene Recognition System Picture Control settings Active D-Lighting with New Auto mode Starts up in a mere 0.12 seconds Customer Review: Step up from D300 One of the unique aspects of the D700 is that you may use DX or FX lenses - it can recognize either and accommodate them. This allows you not to have to reinvest with specific lenses. Of course the 2.8’s are so tantalizing that I have bought a few and look to add to them in the future. It handles nicely and the pictures are stunning. Customer Review: So you want to upgrade your D200 to a D700 There are already a lot of reviews of the D700 on Amazon.com so I will focus on the current D200 user who is considering upgrading to a D700. If affordability is an issue and/or you have a lot invested in DX lenses (I will explain why later), skip the D700 and either buy a D300 that are being discounted since it is late in its product life cycle or wait for a successor to the D300. Another alternative to consider is the new D90.

The D60 provides a resolution of 10.2 effective MP’s, and incorporates Nikon’s exclusive EXPEED image-processing concept, which is utilized to maximize image quality and processing speed - resulting in continuous shooting capability at 3.0 fps, near instant power-up at just 0.19 seconds and high ISO sensitivity, all in a compact, lightweight body with a user-friendly ergonomic design.A common problem with SLR digital Cameras is the accumulation of dust in the cameras image box that can be introduced into the camera body when changing lenses, leading to distracting spots on your images. The camera’s built-in Speedlight produces excellent balanced results thanks to Nikon’s sophisticated i-TTL flash system, and also allows the use of additional remote-controlled Speedlights via a TTL Hot Shoe. The Nikon D60 is designed to simplify camera operation with a user-friendly design that includes a reduced number of buttons to allow the photographer to concentrate on taking pictures. +PLUS+ AF-S DX-Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR, a lens featuring a built-in Silent Wave Motor and Vibration Reduction (VR). The AF-S DX-Nikkor 18- 55mm f3.5-5.6G VR is an affordable, and compact, 3x zoom lens covering the most frequently used focal range of 18-55mm with amazing versatility. ++PLUS++ 8GB DELUXE ACCESSORY KIT: Loaded with extremely useful accessories. Customer Review: This package has a lot of value I actually purchased this same package with a 55-200 VR Zoom Nikon lens added and I was skeptical. I had been through this routine before - the merchant calls or sends an email and requires a “discussion” before your order is filled. That “discussion” is an opportunity for the merchant to hard-sell you everything from over-priced batteries and memory cards to an extended warranty not worth the paper it’s printed on.

Customer Review: I’m a prime kind of girl… In my bag of camera tricks, I have 3 prime lenses, and this lens is by far on my camera the most. I shoot with a Nikon D80, and this lens compliments my camera very well. The macro is amazing, and ultra sharp; but I also love what it can do for portraits. I recently did some family portraits with this lens, and they turned out beautifully! It might be pricey, but it is so worth it. I promise you wont be disappointed! Customer Review: Great macro for the price I am a beginner to DSLR and wanted to play with macro photography, and am really pleased with the results of this lens–crisp, light-weight, economic, and reliable. I manual focus on such intricate shots as reflections on water drops and have never been disappointed with the results. I would recommend this lens for beginners or intermediate hobbyists.

Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX Fisheye Nikkor Lens The NIKON 2148 10.5MM f/2.8 G IF-ED Fisheye Lens was designed exclusively for NIKON digital SLR cameras that feature NIKON’s DX Format Sensor. The AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED lens significantly expands NIKON’s DX-Nikkor category of interchangeable lenses. Along with 17-55mm and 12-24mm DX offerings, the 10.5MM lens offers the broadest wide angle coverage available for digital SLR cameras, significantly enhancing lens performance by optimizing them for digital cameras. Compatible with all D-series digital SLR cameras, including the D1, D1X, D1H, D100 and D2H Customer Review: Great lens but… I bought a Tokina 10-17 mm and started shooting with it. I liked it but I felt it was not sharp enough and I heard about the colour aberrations. Therefore I went to bring it back to B&H and I upgraded with the Nikkor 10.5 This is absolutetly more sharp and fast. The only two things that I found bad are: 1) the lens is much more difficult to keep clean than the Tokina’s one; 2) why the hell Nikon decided to produce expensive lenses like the Wideangle 12-24 mm and this Fisheye in crappy plastic?! For keeping down their weight? Fck the weight issue and give me some old time, long lasting great metal body lenses!!!! Customer Review: Lovin’ my fish-eye (wide-angle lens) I am thrilled that I received my fish eye lens in time for our cruise through the Caribbean last week. I love it! It is of excellent quality. I only wish it could do some zooming, but that contradicts the wide-angle bit, I suppose. I shot beautiful island/ocean scenes; great, wide sunsets; captured full rooms of people; captured the length of the ship. And if you crop the top and bottom, you get a great landscape photo (wide but not tall). I highly recommend this to photography enthusiasts.

Other features include a super multilayer lens coating that reduces flare and ghosting, a minimum focusing distance of 17.7 inches, and a maximum magnification of 1:7.4. As with all Sigma lenses, this 50mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

Customer Review: Great quality - liked better than the Canon I purchased both of the lenses and took pictures to compare the two side by side — I liked the looks of the Sigma lens better. Customer Review: backfocus problem I received the lens and returned it the next day, because it has a very serious backfocus problem. Sigma really needs to solve this problem. We had a high hope on this lens, however, the experience is disappointing.
